When Meghan Markle set out for her first solo event with Queen Elizabeth we were so captivated by their chummy demeanor and matching earrings that we hardly noticed her royal advisor smiling proudly in the background.
Cohen lent her 17 years of experience working at Buckingham Palace to the duo’s outing yesterday as part of her new post as Meghan’s right-hand woman. Cohen resigned from her position in the queen’s office but agreed to stick around to help Meg with her royal transition and “duchess training” over the next six months. Yep, like from Princess Diaries.
And since Meghan first girls’ day out with the queen went off without a hitch, it seems those lessons are really paying off.
