Ina Garten’s engagement chicken isn’t the only recipe ideal for a special occasion. The Barefoot Contessa is sharing a variety of her make-ahead Thanksgiving recipes all week long in anticipation of next week’s big holiday.

The 73-year-old chef revealed her seven-day “Countdown to Thanksgiving” in an Instagram post on Monday. Naturally, she kicked things off with the main dish.

“This week, I’m sharing my favorite Make-Ahead Thanksgiving classics starting with Make-Ahead Turkey & Gravy!” Garten captioned the post. “After years of stressing over the turkey, I found that roasting and carving it ahead of time, arranging it on an oven-proof platter over a bed of gravy, and then putting it in the oven before dinner is SO much easier than trying to carve a hot turkey at the table! It’s also the best turkey I’ve ever made. Recipe link in bio.”

And she didn’t stop there. On Tuesday, she moved on to one of her favorite side dishes.

“My week of make-ahead Thanksgiving classics continues with Mushroom & Leek Bread Pudding!” she captioned today’s post. “Instead of soggy stuffing in the turkey, I make this savory bread pudding that’s crisp on the top and so moist inside. It’s classic flavors of pancetta, mushrooms, and Gruyère. You can assemble it early in the day and bake it before dinner. Now I can’t wait until Thanksgiving!! Recipe link in profile.”

What are the chances the rest of the week’s recipes will include sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and some kind of casserole?

Oh, and, of course, dessert.
