Umm, Prince William Is Currently Taking Questions on Instagram

We’re just three short days away from one of Prince William’s biggest events to date. The Duke of Cambridge is holding his Earthshot Prize Awards this weekend and is asking fans to send in any questions they may have.

On Thursday, the 39-year-old shared a question box on the Instagram account he shares with Kate Middleton, @dukeandduchessofcambridge. In addition to announcing that he will be hosting a Q&A tomorrow, he also asked fans and followers to send in any questions regarding the awards, which will be held on October 17. “Taking questions on the Earthshot Prize tomorrow,” he wrote in the story alongside an arrow pointing down to the answer box. He simply signed the message, “W.”

The duke’s prestigious environmental award program offers $65 million to provide “solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems” over the next decade. The initiative (which we first learned about in 2020) is the result of two years of work by the royal and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The show will be broadcast to a global audience—on BBCOne and Discovery on Facebook—and will celebrate the global finalists before awarding the first five winners of the Earthshot Prize. The top winners will each receive £1 million to scale their solutions. Hosted by Clara Amfo and Dermot O'Leary, the event will include appearances from Cold Play, Ed Sheeran and Shawn Mendes. Naturally, we imagine Prince William will also be in attendance.

So, with only a few days left, we better get those questions in quickly.
