Prince William Reveals Location of Upcoming U.S. Trip in Brand-New Video

Prince William previously announced that he and his wife, Kate Middleton, will travel to the U.S. for the second Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony, but he didn’t specify a location…until now.

Today, the Duke of Cambridge revealed that the highly anticipated event will be held in—drumroll, please—Boston.

Prince William announced the exciting news in a video on Twitter (see below), where he confirmed that he and Middleton will travel to Massachusetts in December. He even enlisted the help of Red Sox player Xander Bogaerts, who shared a special message from Fenway Park.

“In 2022,” Prince William said in the clip, “we’re back and bringing Earthshot to the U.S.A., where we’ll award the next five winners of the Prize.” Right on cue, the camera cut to Bogaerts, who added, “And we will be doing it right here in Boston.”

The royal’s involvement should come as no surprise because Prince William launched the Earthshot Prize back in October 2020. His goal is to “incentivize change and help repair our planet over the next ten years,” according to the official website.

In a press release, Ambassador Caroline Kennedy said, “There is no more important Moonshot today than repairing the planet and no better place to harness the Moonshot spirit than the City of Boston. It is a great tribute to President Kennedy that The Earthshot Prize will partner with the JFK Library Foundation to host the 2022 ceremony in Boston and inspire a new generation with the possibility of a sustainable future.”

The question is: Will Prince William invite Prince Harry to the awards ceremony?
