Watch Prince George Lose It Over Soccer Game with Dad Prince William

It appears Prince George is taking after his dad, Prince William, when it comes to sports.

Over the weekend, the father-son duo attended a soccer (aka football) game at Carrow Road—which is a sporting arena located in Norwich, England—alongside Kate Middleton and Princess Charlotte.

While there, the Cambridge family (sans Prince Louis) watched Prince William’s favorite team Aston Villa defeat Norwich City, with a final score of 5 to 1. With a little encouragement from his dad, Prince George was seen cheering them on to victory.

Kensington Palace shared an adorable video on Instagram, featuring Prince George celebrating after a successful play for Aston Villa. The caption read, “@SoccerAM—a fantastic performance from Aston Villa @AVFCofficial at Norwich today.”

Prince William was also seen explaining the rules of the game to Prince George, who followed his dad’s finger as he pointed to different players.

Prince William is a longtime supporter of the Aston Villa Football Club, and the feeling is mutual. After the game, the team shared a photo of the royal family on its official Twitter account and wrote, “You know how to pick your #AVFC games, Your Royal Highness.”

This isn’t the first time Prince George has shown interest in soccer. Back in July, the family released three official portraits in honor of his 6th birthday, featuring the royal wearing an England National Soccer Team jersey.

Like father, like son.
