Prince William Just Made a Big Mistake at His Recent Photo Shoot—& Royal Fans Are Confused

Royal fans were delighted when Prince William recently shared photos from his reunion with Sir David Attenborough, but it didn’t take long for them to notice the blatant mistake in the prince’s picture.

It all started last week when the Duke of Cambridge, 38, teased a photo from his latest outing, which featured two directors’ chairs that read: “Prince William” and “Sir David.”

Shortly after, William shared a picture of the occupied chairs as part of an Instagram slideshow. However, royal aficionados were confused by the obvious mistake in the photo.

The pic features Prince William and Sir David facing toward a movie screen. The catch? The pair are sitting in each other’s directors’ chairs (not their own).

Although we don’t know if the switcheroo was on purpose, we highly doubt that’s the case. After all, there’s no point in labeling the seats with their names unless they were supposed to sit in their designated spots.

Prince William explained the purpose of the get-together in the caption, which read: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to share new photographs of their family with @DavidAttenborough. The photographs were taken earlier this week in the gardens of Kensington Palace, after The Duke and Sir David attended an outdoor screening of Sir David’s upcoming feature film David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet.”

So, did Prince William and Sir David purposely switch chairs? Or was it an honest mistake? Guess we’ll never know.
