Prince William and Kate Middleton always have a handful of projects in the works. And on rare occasions, the couple likes to tease those projects on their shared social media account. Today, it's the Duke of Cambridge's turn.

On Wednesday, the 39-year-old royal shared a video on the Kensington Palace Instagram page featuring himself looking out into the distance as he controls a drone hovering in the sky. The clip was shared to tease his current Earthsot prize endeavor. “@earthshotprize news coming later this week…” he captioned the post.

If you’re unfamiliar, the duke’s Earthshot Prize offers $65 million to provide “solutions to the world’s greatest environmental problems” over the next decade. The initiative (which we first learned about in 2020) is the result of two years of work by the royal and The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The mission? Reward those who are making a difference in climate change.

Last year, Prince William said in a statement, “The earth is at a tipping point and we face a stark choice: either we continue as we are and irreparably damage our planet or we remember our unique power as human beings and our continual ability to lead, innovate and problem-solve.”

No word on whether or not the announcement will be recipients of the Prize or even possible nominees. (We’re also not exactly sure how the drone fits into all of this.) However, we’re still excited. And we’re not the only ones. Fans and followers quickly filled the comment section with kind words and praise. One IG user wrote, “Can’t wait to hear more news from the Duke and Duchess! Lots these last weeks!” while another chimed in, “Earthshotprize is such a wicked initiative - same goes for the Duchess’s Early Years work.”

We’ll be refreshing the couple’s Instagram page all week.
