If there’s one quintessential summer food we could eat every single darn day it’s watermelon. In fact, we love it so much we’ve even been freezing it into ice cubes and serving it with champagne. But we only recently discovered the most fun way to eat our fave refreshing fruit.
Introducing: Snap, crackle, pop watermelon. It’s a two-ingredient treat that you and the kids will love. Here’s how to make it at home.
Step 1: Slice a watermelon into wedges. For this part, we’d like to direct your attention to our favorite tool ever.
Step 2: Pour a few bags of flavored Pop Rocks candy into a bowl or Tupperware.
Step 3: Dip the tips of the watermelon slices into the pop rocks. You can also use a spoon to cover the melon with more candy. At this point, you’ll start to hear it sizzle.
Step 4: Dig in and satisfy your sweet tooth.
