Prince William & Kate Middleton Say They’re 'Delighted' Over Birth of Meghan & Harry’s Daughter Lili

Kate Middleton and Prince William have a new niece! William’s brother, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, welcomed their second child together over the weekend. And the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are “delighted.”

ICYMI: On Sunday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that they welcomed a baby girl named Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

The news was shared with a message from the royal couple on their Archewell website that read, “On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Following the exciting news, William and Middleton posted a statement of their own on their joint Instagram account, @thedukeandduchessofcambridge.

“We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie,” they wrote alongside a black-and-white maternity photo featuring Markle (looking chic in a patterned dress) cradling Archie above her baby bump while Harry holds her from behind.

In their birth announcement, Markle and Harry also revealed that baby Lili was born on June 4 at 11:40 am at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. She was born weighing 7 lbs 11 oz. In addition, we couldn’t help but notice that the child’s name has a handful of family ties, with Lilibet being the nickname of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, and Diana being included to honor Prince Harry's late mother.

Congrats on your fourth niece and nephew, Uncle Will and Aunt Kate.
