When it comes to Kate Middleton, the consensus is clear—she's a style queen.

From embracing the latest fashion trends to switching up her hair, supporting important causes and attending high-profile royal events, the Princess of Wales never misses. So much so that royal fans and fashion enthusiasts are constantly scouring the internet to identify what she’s wearing—and where to find the best dupes.

That’s why a recent report claiming Kensington Palace would no longer share details about Middleton's outfits sent shockwaves through the royal fashion-watching community. But as it turns out, that’s not exactly the case—and the palace is setting the record straight.

“Over the last week, I have received numerous questions about a story regarding The Princess of Wales’s clothing and how Kensington Palace shares information about her outfits," a palace spokesperson told People on Tuesday, February 11.

“To clarify, the comments that appeared in the article were from me, not The Princess of Wales,” the statement continued. “The comments that were reported should not be directly attributed to The Princess of Wales. To be clear, there has been no change in our approach to sharing information about Her Royal Highness’s clothing.”

The clarification follows a report from The Sunday Times, which suggested the palace would no longer provide outfit details for Princess Catherine’s public appearances.

Some took the initial report as a sign that Middleton was adjusting how she approaches royal duties following her cancer diagnosis last spring. The princess has since shared that she has completed chemotherapy and is now in remission.

Whether Kensington Palace provides details or not, fans can rest assured that royal fashion sleuths aren’t slowing down anytime soon.
