Kate Middleton Just Made Her Big Return to Wimbledon

Kate Middleton is back at one of her favorite places: Wimbledon!

The Duchess of Cambridge attended the ongoing Grand Slam tournament on Friday and looked happy as can be to return after almost two years. Her visit wasn’t all about watching the sport, however, as the mother of three also spent some time helping out in one of the All England Lawn Tennis Club’s (of which she is patron) kitchens to thank them for providing meals to citizens during the pandemic.

Per the official IG of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the kitchen was “able to provide 200 hot meals per day, for a whole year, to those in need.” For the occasion, the 39-year-old royal looked chic in a blazer and a pleated polka dot midi skirt from Alessandra Rich. The duchess paired the skirt with a white T-shirt and navy blazer. She topped off the look with pearl earrings by Simone Rocha, heels and a white Mulberry bag. See her outfit below.

Unfortunately, last year’s event was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, the duchess did mark the occasion by narrating a short film about the tennis event called Wimbledon Recreated.

In the doc, the duchess spoke directly to fellow tennis fans and assured them that the eventual return of the championship would be "worth the wait."

“Over the years, your support has shaped this historic event. No matter the time of day or the names on the scoreboard, you have always been there, come rain or shine,” she said. “This year, sadly though, things are very different. But we will bide our time until we sit on the edge of our seats again and celebrate again. So, when the time is right and we open the gates, we will be back again and it will have been worth the wait.”

We’d say it definitely was.
