These brand-new photos of Kate Middleton and Princess Mary of Denmark look straight out of a fashion magazine.
Today, the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, continued her two-day tour of Copenhagen with a visit to Christian IX’s Palace. While there, Middleton posed for pictures with Princess Mary, who wore an equally chic outfit.
Middleton wore a long gray coat dress, which featured silver buttons and black details on the sleeves and collar. She completed the look with all-black accessories, including leather gloves, a small handbag and simple pumps. Naturally, the duchess styled her hair in her signature beachy waves.
On the other hand, Princess Mary donned a similar coat dress in white. But instead of fastening the piece, she kept it open to show off the rest of her outfit. It’s hard to tell from the pic, but she either wore black pants with a matching turtleneck or a sweater dress paired with tights. Her accessories were nearly identical to that of Middleton, including gloves, black heels and a clutch.
The get-together was a long-time coming, especially since they both relate to each other as commoners turned future queens. Still, this was the first time since 2011 that Middleton had an in-person meeting with Princess Mary. The first gathering took place shortly after the Duchess of Cambridge had tied the knot with Prince William.
Middleton’s two-day visit to Denmark has been planned for quite some time. Not only will she learn more about the country’s new programs for early childhood development, but she will also promote her Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, which she launched last year.
