As per usual, the royal family caught our eye at this year's Wimbledon. Not only did Prince George make his first appearance in the royal box, but Princess Beatrice also sported matching hats with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. However, it was Kate Middleton's fashion that ended up stealing the show, as she stunned in a navy blue polka dot dress at the men's singles final.

After choosing a light blue polka dot design for her surprise appearance at Wimbledon last week, the Duchess of Cambridge decided to pull out the spotty pattern once again, this time choosing a silk-crepe Alessandra Rich dress (which is on sale, but almost sold out here). The classic-looking design featured a Chelsea collar and a peplum waist, with a bow accessory at the front. And Middleton paired the dress with black-and-white Alessandra Rich slingback pumps.

While we were already enchanted by the duchess's outfit, we couldn't help but notice the jewelry she chose to accessorize it with.

To match her dress, Middleton wore a pair of sapphire earrings and a matching necklace, which we've seen her sport on a number of occasions. This set is very similar to another pair that the duchess owns, which she got from the collection of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

In case you were unaware, Kate Middleton's engagement ring once belonged to Princess Diana, and Lady Di wore it even after her marriage to Prince Charles ended. Then, long after her passing, Prince William decided to give the Ceylon sapphire sparkler to Middleton as a “way of keeping [his mother] close to it all.”

As we can see above, the duchess's earrings and necklace matched perfectly with her engagement ring, and she seemed to be winking at Princess Diana (who always brought her own incredible style to the Wimbledon stands).

Crushing it like always, Kate.
