Last summer, Kate Middleton promised a young girl with cancer that when they met in person, she would wear a pink dress for her. Now, almost a year later, the Duchess of Cambridge is sticking to her word.
On Thursday, during the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's tour of Scotland, the 39-year-old royal met with 5-year-old Mila Sneddon, who is battling leukemia, at the Palace of Holyroodhouse (the Scottish residence of Queen Elizabeth).
Last August, Sneddon participated in the mother of three’s Hold Still photography project. She was featured in a photo called "Shielding Mila," which showed the little girl waving to her dad from a window. Mila spoke on the phone with the duchess, and during the convo, Middleton discovered that the young girl’s favorite color was pink. Of course, she promised to sport the color when the duo eventually met in person.
“I have to make sure I go and try to find myself a pink dress," the duchess said during the call. "When one day, hopefully, Mila, we'll get to meet, and then I'll remember to wear my pink dress for you."
