Today, Kate Middleton and Prince William attended an unveiling of the National Windrush Monument at Waterloo Station in London.
During the event, the Duke of Cambridge publicly addressed the Caribbean-British community following the controversy they faced on their Caribbean tour back in March. (While the couple was on their official trip, they faced growing backlash regarding the British monarchy’s authority in Caribbean territories.)
Not only did the duke and duchess send a very important message (more on that later), but Middleton also used her go-to parenting move that we know all too well.
During the outing, Middleton was seen bending down to eye level and talking to a small child. This particular move (which she displays with her own children) is used to foster open communication on an equal playing field and create a comfortable environment for the child.
