Back in the spring of 2020, Kate Middleton and Prince William announced a plan for their royal foundation to help frontline workers battle against COVID-19. Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge also launched a community photo project, which would eventually become the book Hold Still, a collection of images that “tell the stories of the challenges [the U.K.] faced, but also how we came together in the most extraordinary of times.”
Now, after her efforts to help the community, Middleton has finally received her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. She documented the moment on her joint Instagram account with Prince William, saying, “Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London’s Science Museum. I’m hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout—thank you for everything you are doing.”
