Is there anything more perfect than a gooey, crunchy, chocolatey s’more? The answer, objectively, is “no” (end of discussion). Lucky for us, Chicago is continuing its obsession with the summertime favorite straight into winter. Here, 11 restaurants that aren’t messing around when it comes to all that is melty, sticky and sweet.

Frontier's Open-Faced S'mores

This is s’mores all grown up: honey marshmallow slathered in bourbon ganache and topped with pecan brittle. Torched to order, so you know it’s good.

Prime and Provisions's Tableside S'mores

Who says s’mores can’t be fancy? This deconstructed treat features a steaming chocolate sphere nestled atop a bed of graham crackers and a dollop of marshmallow sauce. But the most important note of all: Smoke streams from the treat after a healthy helping of chocolate sauce is poured over the orb. You won’t miss that campfire at all.

Goddess and the Baker's S'mores Frappe

This caffeine-boosted take on the classic treat is a delectable blend of espresso, marshmallow fluff, liquid chocolate and graham cracker crumbs. The whole gang (and then some) is here.

MK The Restaurant's “You?re Killin' Me S'mores”

We couldn’t think of a more creative take on s’mores if we tried. The gorgeous concoction of dark chocolate ganache, graham cracker ice cream, charred marshmallow and peanuts is the most delicious homage to The Sandlot we’ve ever seen.

868 N. Franklin; 312-482-9179 or

Dimo's S'mores Pizza

Our two favorite things combined to delicious effect. You might not think mozzarella belongs on a s’mores pizza, but you’d be wrong. Dimo’s pulls on our heart strings extra hard by topping the pie with a generous sprinkle of Teddy Grahams.

The Promontory's S'mores Soufflé

Perfectly golden marshmallow meets a smoked chocolate soufflé in this modern take on the classic. You’ll feel like you’re at Girl Scouts camp all over again when you get a taste of the smoked cocoa powder sprinkled on top.

5311 S. Lake Park Ave.; 312-801-2100 or

Chuck's: A Kerry Simon Kitchen's S'mores Bread Pudding

Comfort food gets a serious upgrade in this bread pudding. It’s got all the main ingredients plus something called “s’mores streusel.”

224 N. Michigan Ave.; 312-334-6700 or

Kanela Breakfast Club's Nutella S'mores Waffle

A well-balanced breakfast is overrated. Get your daily dose of s’mores in early with this waffle topped with Nutella, crushed graham cracker, caramelized marshmallow and chocolate sauce.

Henry's Swing Club's DIY S'mores Sandwiches

Need the marshmallow roasted exactly to your liking? Take on the task yourself at Henry’s Swing Club, where a baby hibachi grill is brought tableside so you can patiently wait until your 'mallow’s a perfect golden brown or thrust it into the fire for a charred black mass. Either way, it’s all delicious.

Seven Lions' S'mores Instagram Sundae

The team at Seven Lions knows the old adage: If a s’mores is eaten in the wild and no one is around to ‘gram it, did it make a crunch at all? This glorious creation keeps your “like” count in mind, featuring a beautiful bread pudding made from hot dog buns (!), chocolate cake, mini marshmallows and vanilla bean custard.
