January gets all the “New Year’s resolutions” attention, but shouldn’t we use the end of the year to tie up loose ends that launch us into 2026 with a running start? I say yes! I spoke with evolutionary astrologer, Jill Brown, to get into the nitty gritty of what each sign in the zodiac should hurry up and accomplish before January 1, 2026. From getting a therapist (finally) to finding your missing stuff (you know your Airpods are somewhere), here are three things every zodiac sign should accomplish before the end of the year.

The 2 Zodiac Signs About to Hit a Major Turning Point Before the New Year

Meet the Astrologer

Jill Brown is a certified Evolutionary Astrologer with a Master’s in Aeronautics, a background in marketing at Disney, and a career as a NASA research scientist. She is the founder of Eight Stars Co., a cosmic guidance platform that bridges the mystical and the practical through an evolutionary lens. Her approach to astrology goes far beyond horoscopes, where she uses the birth chart as a tool for transformation.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

  1. Refine Your Five-Year Plan
You’ve been operating on impulse—now it’s time to build a roadmap. Jupiter’s energy rewards structure.
  2. Reinvest in Friendships
Big goals mean nothing without your ride-or-dies cheering you on.
  3. Start Something Scary
That project you keep shelving? The stars say it’s “go time.”

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

  1. Manifest the Big, Scary Desire on November 23
Write it down on this day. The sun trines Neptune, Mercury trines Jupiter and Saturn and Jupiter trines Saturn. It’s a power boost of amplification to achieve and succeed in all areas of your life.
  2. Wrap Up Lingering Projects by December 20
The Sagittarius New Moon has Saturn and Neptune squares, and if you haven’t completed your work by then, expect challenges.
  3. Set Your 2026 Goals by December 21
Not just the goal but the sub-bullets on how you’re going to “get there.” Many late December into January 2026 Capricorn transits will give you a boost for strategy and “get sh*t done” superpowers (Sun transit, Venus transits through Cap).

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

  1. Get a Therapist in November
If you’ve had therapy or a life coach on your to-do list for months (or years) now, no judgment, but the November 20th New Moon in Scorpio is blessing you with the depth and commitment to begin your healing and self-work journey. Start now.
  2. Leverage Sagittarius Season for Love or Business Partnerships
The Sun’s transit through Sagittarius (November 22–December 21) is giving you a boost to find or intensify partnership bonds that will serve you well in 2026 in love or career.
  3. Complete Projects on the Full Moon
On December 4, we have the last supermoon and full moon of 2025 in your sign. Use this energy to bring desired projects, relationships or endeavors to a successful close.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

  1. Get a Tech Upgrade
Uranus is in Taurus from November 8 to April 26next year, and the ruler of technology is offering you an opportunity to more easily upgrade your tech (think phone, computer, software or app you have had your eye on).
  2. Find Your Missing Stuff
While most Mercury retrogrades are looked down upon, when Mercury retrogrades through Scorpio from November 19 to December 10, you actually have a unique opportunity to use the strength of Scorpio (known as “the detective” in the zodiac) to sleuth out answers or objects that you have been searching for (location or truth). It should all come out.
  3. Book the Trip
After December 10, Mercury will return direct and any stagnation around travel should bust loose (let’s hope the government shutdown aligns, and our faithful air traffic controllers can resume work to help travel).

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

  1. Focus on Your Personal Power
2025 has been confronting you with chances to reclaim your own power and voice. Venus’s transit through Sagittarius in December connects you with opportunities to speak your peace and have big advancements in personal relationships.
  2. Create a Physical Routine
The New Moon in Sagittarius (December 20) is connecting you with exploratory and exciting energy around physical health, activities and hobbies. If it’s been a while since you worked out or are looking for a new exercise routine, shake it up, be adventurous and have fun with it to discover a new loved activity.
  3. Be Vigilant
The holidays at the end of the year can expose us to more frolicking, fun and frivolity, which is fine as long as you are aware. It’s not an ideal time to pick up a new partner (December 20 onward) for a while due to Lilith’s entry into Sag. The wrong person is always out of style. Don’t let the holidays fool you with rose-colored glasses that will shock you in the New Year when they come off.

Virgo (August 23 - September 23)

  1. Have a Mini Adventure
Among the zodiac, you're infamous for your routine, but Mars is transiting through Sagittarius until December 15 and inviting you to shake it up a little. You can always come back to the known, but having a little adventure will give you fresh perspectives in 2026.
  2. Invest in You
You’re also known as the sign of service, but when Venus enters Sagittarius on November 30, the cosmos are telling you it’s time to put yourself first until the end of the year. Any time, money or energy you invest in your own education (especially around finances and formal certifications) is very well spent. You deserve to give yourself the same care you give others
  3. Practice Breathwork
There’s a great mantra in breathwork that says, “practice the pause,” which is done in the breathwork practice but has profound calming and stress-busting carryover outside the work on the meditation mat. Around the full moon (December 4), you will be feeling pulled between inside (home and family) and outside (career, volunteer, education) priorities. You’ll need practice to fuel your ability to pause, make sound decisions and know that the balance will be struck and all will be well in a short time.

Libra (September 23 - October 21)

  1. Keep Tabs on Your Money
Mercury’s retrograde from November 9 until December 10 is cautioning you to be aware of your money. This can mean simple things like don’t overspend, or more unpredictable things like fraud, accounting errors or software glitches.
  2. Redecorate
Wait, you just said watch my spending? Yes, definitely have a budget and stick to it, but Venus’s transit through Capricorn starts on December 24) is well suited to sticking to a budget but blessing the planet of love’s desire for warmth, art and beauty to surround. Your already great style is amplified during this transit with great finds, good project schedules and a deep connection to art.
  3. Say Sorry
This same Venus transit is focusing on forgiveness and reconnection with siblings or in-laws. The holidays are a great time to bury the hatchet and make peace, even if it’s a respectful peace that only lasts through the holidays. It’s supported by Venus’s transit and desire for harmony.

Scorpio (October 22 - November 21)

  1. Be Honest About Your Relationships
Uranus is in Taurus and this planet of chaos and rebellion has been impacting and disrupting your relationships, going all the way back to 2018. This is the last time it will be doing so for a while, so while you might feel some disruption, Uranus’s real invitation is an honest, clear assessment about the pros/cons of your partner and what you plan to do about it (stay, go, restructure).
  2. Head to the Salon
Venus entered your sign on November 6 and stays there all month, so you’ll be blessed with feeling and looking extra gorgeous this month (you’re welcome). Any investment or indulgence in your appearance, style or physical self is well made this month.
  3. Do a Friend Audit
With Venus conjunct Lilith on November 28, you may find that your enemies or foes are actually among your friend groups. Gossip and slander are obnoxious realities of anyone who is doing good work, by those who are jealous. Be grateful these people showed you who they really are and then believe them. Don’t take them back.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

  1. Shine Bright!
From November 22 until December 21,,the sun transits through your sign and you’re blessed with confidence, charisma and a big presence. If publishing, leadership or mentorship have been on your dance card for a while, now is the time!
  2. Ask for Support
We all need help sometimes and when Mars begins its transit in Capricorn on December 15, you will be given the support you ask for—but you have to ask! Speak your needs to others, in prayer or to the universe and watch the support come flooding in.
  3. Position Yourself for the Promotion and Raise
When Mars transits into Capricorn (December 15 through January 26) you are given an extra oomph of workplace magic. It’s a great time to put yourself forward for promotion, a raise or taking on a new role or project that will have longer-term positive financial boosts for you.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

  1. Conquer an Old Fear
Consider past life regression, hypnosis or dream work around the year’s end to revisit an old life’s residual karmic memory. What’s really going on? What’s this fear of flying about? You could clear our very old ideas, limiting beliefs and stories through past life work from November through December during Mars’s transit through Sagittarius.
  2. Explore a Friends-to-Lovers Plot Line
Maybe it’s just exploring a book or a favorite film? Maybe it’s your real love life? But the friends-to-lovers story is well placed in your chart while Venus transits Scorpio from November 6 to 30.
  3. Take Up Your Creative Outlet Again
When Uranus returns to Taurus November 8 to April 26, the sign of the sage, the elder, the wise one, is being asked to relinquish a little knowledge for creative exploration and fun. Take up new ways of creating and expressing your fun, artistic side.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

  1. Take on a Teaching Role
Whether it’s formal or informal, Sagittarius season (November 22 – December 21) is shining down both wisdom and communication on your sign, asking you to take up the role of teacher to help others through the end of the year. Maybe it’s a coworker, sibling or complete stranger, but speaking your truth and connecting with students is in the cards.
  2. Put Yourself Out There
Related to that topic, if those teaching opportunities come as part of your career, then you can expect to see your status and expertise blossom now through Sag season. You’ll be the go-to and that will lead to financial gains as well as promotions. This is further emphasized when Mars starts its transit through Sagittarius on December 15.
  3. Start a Spiritual Routine
You are being asked to ground yourself when the sun leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn on December 21. You’ll need to find a routine (spiritual, physical or otherwise) that helps anchor you in calm, meditation and good sleep hygiene. Go back to basics so you don’t get overrun by all the energy and momentum happening through the end of the year.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

  1. Put Your Health First
2025 has seen your sign hosting Saturn, aka “Lord Karma,” and there have been important lessons on your physical health. Saturn will continue to be in your sign until 2028, so remember to prioritize your physical health. Make the doctor's appointment. Keep the physical movement up. Focus on health, realistic lifestyle routines that support your physical well-being.
  2. Define and Redefine Your 2026 Goals
2025 has brought big lessons, and part of that work has been asking you to get clarity on the direction of your life. Sometimes our priorities and focus change. Wisdom is being able to embrace change and understand how we may need to rewrite some goals. Mars' transit through Capricorn starting on December 15 will support you in the discipline and courage to move in the right direction in 2026.
  3. Take a Career Risk
Mercury in Sagittarius (through November 19), the Sun in Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21), and Mars transit through Sagittarius (November 4 to December 15) want you to take some risks in your professional life. Have courage, be assertive and go for it. Get smart and use Mar’s warrior energy to put yourself out there for advancement in your career. Be the centaur’s arrow and launch yourself into new horizons!
