It’s a new moon in Scorpio! We’re halfway through Mercury retrograde! It’s the start of Sagittarius season! This week brings culminations, new beginnings and breakthroughs of clarity—all that come in unexpected ways.

Think back to where you were on October 21 during our last new moon. The new moon in Scorpio on the 20th offers a fresh start, building on something you initiated last month. Mercury retrograde meets the sun on the 20th, an aspect that always brings an a-ha moment, but with Mercury continuing to move backwards through the 29th, there’s still some missing information. Sagittarius season begins on the 21st—Happy birthday to our freewheeling archer babes—allowing us to approach things with a bit more levity and spontaneity as we work through change.

(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that sign too will provide further insight.)

After making some quick financial decisions at the beginning of the month, you might be staring at a devastating credit card bill in “celebration” of the new moon in Scorpio on the 20th. You’re at a crossroads where you can slip back into poor spending habits, or make changes that finally resolve some longstanding debts. What if you gave yourself the gift of financial awareness and better spending habits?

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

The new moon in Scorpio on the 20th is the beginning of a relationship or a renewal of your vows. You thought you were committed before but now you’re really in it, and you have a lease or a joint bank account to show for it. Pay attention to any contracts you sign or agreements you make this week as they may have an unexpectedly large impact on your life.

You may also find yourself signing up at the last minute for a 5K turkey trot or jumping into an advanced pilates class. What if you’re stronger than you think you are?

This week’s mantra: “Sweat.”

Scorpio (October 22 - November 21)

New moon, new you. For real this time! The new moon in Scorpio on the 20th is here to wake you up from an outdated perspective. Sure that way of expressing yourself served its purpose for a time, but this week, you’re evolving. It can be bittersweet to outgrow something but there’s also clarity here. Think of this as your first step in a whole new direction.

This week’s mantra: “Evolve.”

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Once your season begins on the 21st, things are going to kick into high gear. But first, it’s time to rest and recharge. The new moon in Scorpio on the 20th finds you totally off the grid and napping hard. You might also be feeling isolated or lonely to start the week or like you’re shouting ideas into the void. Focus on behind-the-scenes work and trust that your moment is coming.

November is always split into two very different periods for you. Scorpio season is for being a social butterfly with tons of opportunities to connect. An unexpected networking boost comes at the new moon in Scorpio on the 20th and puts you in touch with someone who could get you a job. Once Sagittarius season begins on the 21st though, you go back into the chrysalis, not emerging until the winter solstice and your birthday season.

The new moon in Scorpio on the 20th brings a compelling career opportunity that closes one chapter as it begins another. Who would’ve thought this was your path? Then Sagittarius season begins on the 21st, and kicks off even more socializing and networking. Just be conscious about how much money you’re spending when you’re out shmoozing with the glitterati. Surround yourself with the kinds of people who want to treat you.

Whatever’s happening this week, you’re expanding your mind and your worldview. Then on the 21st, Sagittarius season begins kicking off your most visible and influential time of year. How will you make the most of your impact?

This week’s mantra: “Explore.”
