Rejoice! Butter Isnt Terrible For You, According to Science
Twenty20

Good news for butter-lovers: A new study out of Tufts University in Boston just confirmed that the creamy condiment--which up to this point has gotten a bad rap thanks to it’s saturated fat content--isn’t actually terrible for your health.

After examining a series of recent research, study authors concluded that spreading real butter on toast, corn on the cob or cacio e pepe isn’t linked to chronic illnesses (like heart disease) as people originally thought. In fact, it might even help protect against type 2 diabetes.

Sadly, this still doesn’t mean you should start eating it by the stick. (Researchers found that, from a nutritional standpoint, butter is a “middle of the road” food--aka it’s better than sugar, but worse than olive oil.) But as long as we can consume full-fat butter, everything in moderation is a rule we think we can abide.
