The Royal Fab Four Finally Made a Joint Appearance Today—But They Didn't Sit Together

It may have been two years since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped away from their senior royal duties, but earlier today, the pair was all smiles as they reunited with Prince William and Kate Middleton to honor Queen Elizabeth at the Service of Thanksgiving.

The Sussexes were spotted at St. Paul’s Cathedral, sitting in the same pew as Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, as well as their respective husbands, Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mozzi. Meanwhile, William and Kate were seated across the aisle with Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles and Princess Anne.

The Cambridges didn't have an opportunity to mingle publicly with Harry and Meghan, given the large audience and their seating arrangement. However, both royal couples appeared to be having the best time as they interacted with nearby attendees.

Both William and Harry sported black suits adorned with the Golden, Diamond and Platinum Jubilee medals. Meanwhile, Markle stunned in a white ensemble and matching hat, while Middleton opted for a bright yellow dress and hat, complete with a pair of pearl drop earrings that she borrowed from her grandmother-in-law.

To celebrate the queen's historic reign, the special service featured Bible readings and congregational hymns. However, the queen was noticeably absent after experiencing some "discomfort" on Thursday, when she appeared on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

Buckingham Palace announced in a statement, "The Queen greatly enjoyed today's Birthday Parade and Flypast but did experience some discomfort. Taking into account the journey and activity required to participate in tomorrow's National Service of Thanksgiving at St. Paul's Cathedral, Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded she will not attend."

Still, Her Majesty participated in Thursday's beacon lighting event at Windsor Castle after attending Trooping the Colour.

Fingers crossed we'll get to see even more of the Sussexes during this four-day celebration. (Bonus points if we spot Archie and Lilibet.)
