Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Celebrate Third Wedding Anniversary (and Receive a Surprise Gift)

It’s officially been three years since we (along with the rest of the world) watched Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tie the knot at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. And we can’t help but wonder how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be celebrating this year.

Today marks the duo's second anniversary since they stepped down as senior members of the royal family and we have a feeling the festivities will be similar to last year’s: a low-key celebration with close family.

The duke and duchess typically spend their special day quietly with their son Archie. However, this year is extra special because Markle is pregnant with the couple’s second child: a baby girl due to arrive later this summer.

In addition to spending some quality time together, Markle and Prince Harry will also likely be exchanging gifts. In honor of their first wedding anniversary in 2019, the 35-year-old reportedly gave his wife an eternity diamond ring to go along with her tri-diamond engagement ring and gold wedding band.

Eternity rings, which feature small diamonds wrapped all the way around a band, are popular for push presents and anniversary gifts. Since the couple celebrated their anniversary on May 19 and welcomed baby Archie on May 6, this ring was the perfect present.

And while we don’t know what Harry has planned for his wife this year, we do know about one gift the couple received from the animal-rights charity PETA. According to Hello!, the organization wanted to keep with the third wedding anniversary tradition of gifting leather but instead opted to send them matching pairs of vegan leather trainers. Maybe Harry and Meghan will send a donation to PETA as a thank you.

Happy three years, you two.
