It seems that some time out of the spotlight has done Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a world of good—and we have the PDA pics to prove it.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived at the 2020 Endeavour Fund Awards yesterday at Mansion House in London for their first joint U.K. engagement since announcing their plans to step back from their roles as senior members of the royal family. They looked picture-perfect in color-coordinated blue outfits (she donned a $1,335 cerulean Victoria Beckham shift dress) and big smiles. Markle even switched up her standard beauty look and opted for a glam smoky eye and garnet lip moment. But it was the couple’s non-stop touching that really caught our attention.

Now, we all know that Queen Elizabeth prefers that royal couples keep their hands to themselves during public engagements because they’re technically at work. The 35-year-old prince and 38-year-old duchess have notoriously rebelled against this rule since the beginning of their relationship, but their PDA this go-around was next-level.

Take, for instance, this photo of them engaging in their signature move: the double handhold.

Notice how Markle manages to hold Prince Harry’s hand with both of her hands while also balancing her super cute clutch. That takes skill.

She also put her hand on her husband’s upper arm.

From the looks of it, the Duke of Sussex definitely noticed.

And then there was this walking arm-in-arm moment.

It bears a striking similarity to the arm-in-arm romantic walk Prince William and Kate Middleton took while on royal tour in Ireland yesterday, right?

Well, come the Sussexes’ official royal exit on March 31, they’ll be able to engage in as many public displays of affection as they want.
