As if we needed another reason to admire Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the royal couple are now making moves to help create a safer digital world (and they're taking stunning new black and white pics while they're at it).
According to Time magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to host a special edition of TIME100 Talks, a virtual event that will include activists, online creators and experts as they discuss how to create better online communities. And in the never-before-seen promotional pic taken by photographer Matt Sayles, a laughing Meghan leans on Harry's leg as he smiles right at the camera.
For the event, which premieres on Oct. 20 at 1 pm EST, the royal couple will be making opening and closing statements. They'll also be spearheading discussions with visitors and speaking with Time CEO and editor-in-chief, Edward Felsenthal, about Internet safety. Attendees include Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Somewhere Good founder Naj Austin, disinformation researcher Renée DiResta and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa.
While speaking about the event, TiME CEO Felsenthal, said, "Since launching in April, TIME100 Talks has focused on solutions and visions of a better future through conversations with extraordinary leaders from around the world. This special episode marks our first collaboration, and we are thrilled to partner with The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to explore these urgent issues."
