Meghan Markle Is Releasing Her Own Podcast on Spotify This Summer

Stop the royal presses: Meghan Markle is officially starting her own podcast!

According to People, an Archewell Audio spokesperson shared that the Duchess of Sussex will be launching her first podcast series on Spotify, which is set to debut this summer.

In 2020, Markle and her husband Prince Harry announced their multi-year partnership with Spotify and Archewell Audio.

Since then, the royal couple only released one podcast, including big names like Elton John, Tyler Perry, James Corden and more. The holiday episode featured the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reflecting on the year and their hopes for 2021.

When the couple announced their partnership, they released a joint statement about their love for podcasts. "What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction," they said at the time.

“With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other's stories,” the statement continued. “We are reminded of how interconnected we all are.”

Additional details about Markle’s podcast will be announced at a later date, the spokesperson confirmed. The central theme for the podcast remains unclear, but, we’re sure of one thing: it’s going to be quite a listen.
