‘Archetypes’ Is Coming Back! Meghan Markle’s Podcast Series Has an Official Return Date

After taking a short hiatus in the wake of Queen Elizabeth’s passing, Meghan Markle’s podcast series, Archetypes, is making a grand return!

Earlier this month, Spotify announced that Archetypes would be taking a small break out of respect for the queen’s passing. The streaming platform updated the “About” section on the show’s official page, which reads: “New episodes of Archetypes will be paused during the official mourning period for Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II.”

Now that the official mourning period has ended, new episodes will resume starting next week. The service released an update on the show’s homepage, which read, “Regularly scheduled episodes will resume Tuesday, October 4.”

Back in August, the first episode of the series premiered on the platform where the Duchess of Sussex sat down with her longtime friend and tennis star, Serena Williams

During the candid chat, Markle and Williams discussed the double standard women face when they’re labeled as “ambitious,” while also tackling how that ties into their lives and the way they're perceived.

In the last episode, Markle was joined by The Office alum Mindy Kaling and they recalled their high school experiences. During the discussion, Markle revealed that she felt like the “ugly ducking” in school.

“Look, maybe not conventional beauty as it…now, maybe that would be seen as beautiful but massive frizzy curly hair and a huge gap in my teeth,” Meghan said in the episode. “I was the smart one. Forever and ever and ever and ever. And, and then just sort of grew up.”

We’re so excited for more from Archetypes.
