Madonna Posts Extremely Rare Pics of Her Children in Honor of Her 62nd Birthday

Madonna is living proof that things only get better with age.

Over the weekend, the “Who’s That Girl” singer celebrated her 62nd birthday by sharing a series of never-before-seen photos on her personal Instagram account.

The pics were taken during her family vacation to Jamaica and feature a rare glimpse at her children, including Lourdes (23), David (14), Mercy (14), Estere (7) and Stelle (7). (Her 20-year-old son, Rocco, was noticeably missing from the group.)

The slideshow begins with a selfie in a hotel room, featuring Madonna wearing a flower crown. It’s accompanied by a snap of the singer posing with Lourdes (who looks like a brunette version of her superstar mother), followed by candid shots of the family enjoying fire dancers and souvenirs (like colorful fans).

Madonna captioned the post, “Thankful for my children on my birthday and every day—they are full of [heart emoji], creativity, intelligence and [fire emoji]. #birthday #leo #family.”

While Lourdes and Rocco are Madonna’s biological children, the rest of her kids were adopted from Malawi. (David joined the family in 2006, followed by Mercy and then twins Estere and Stelle.)

Madonna rarely shares photos of her children on social media, particularly Lourdes (who graduated from her mom’s alma mater, University of Michigan, in 2018). While the family photos were a surprise to many fans, you won’t hear us complaining.
