Dany and Jon Confront Each Other in the Winterfell Crypts in the New ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode 2 Trailer

Hold the door! Episode two of the final season of Game of Thrones is fast approaching, and we haven’t even had a second to catch our breath from laughing ’til we cry over all the Jaime-meets-Bran memes.

But the second episode’s trailer is already here, and death (and Jaime Lannister) have finally come knocking at Winterfell’s door. The trailer opens on Daenerys at the head of the table as she tells Jaime how she used to go to bed listening to stories about the man that murdered her father (aka the Mad King), and what kind of revenge she’d have for him.

Jaime, needless to say, is shook. While he probably didn’t imagine he’d be welcomed to Winterfell with open arms, he didn’t expect to be put on trial as soon as he stepped through the gate. Bran, Sansa and Tyrion are all there, too, and while Bran did say he was waiting for an old friend, we have a feeling Jaime is going to face at least a little justice for his past crimes.

Later, Sansa and Dany seem to confront each other over all the shade they’re throwing (and about “trusting Cersei”), Arya may get to say her famous trailer line for real (“I know death, it’s got many faces. I look forward to seeing this one.”) and we see the big battle at Winterfell start to go down as Tormund tells Jon they have “before the sun comes up tomorrow” to prep for the Army of the Dead.

But the most telling part of all could be the moment where Jon and Dany are clearly together in the crypts, perhaps confronting the newly found realization from episode one that they’re actually related? If so, it’d make sense to discuss their ongoing relationship and nephew/aunt status in the crypt, seeing as it’s the same location where Sam broke the news to Jon, and where a statue of Jons real mother, Lyanna Stark, is located.

The run time will be 58 minutes, exactly four minutes longer than the premiere from Sunday. Also, we get a Missandei and Greyworm makeout sesh. So, needless to say, we can’t wait for episode two.

Tune in to the next episode of GoT on Sunday, April 21, on HBO at 9 p.m.
