This ‘Game of Thrones’ Arya & Gendry Theory Just Made Our Head Spin

*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

There’s a lot of pregnancy speculation surrounding the final season of Game of Thrones. Cersei (Lena Headey) is preggo with her brother Jaimie’s (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) baby (but she’ll probably try and pass it off as Euron Greyjoy’s). Due to seasons of heavy hitting on the fact that Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is barren, her being pregnant with Jon Snow’s (Kit Harington) baby (and cousin) is also a possibility. The latest lady of Westeros to join the What to Expect When You’re Expecting club? One Game of Thrones expert says it might be Arya (Maisie Williams).

As you may remember (how could you forget?), Arya seduced Gendry (Joe Dempsie) in season eight, episode two, because she wanted to know what it was like in case she died during the Battle of Winterfell. (Spoiler alert: She didn’t die.) Given the fact that prophylactics aren’t a thing in Winterfell, any GoT lovemaking scene can result in a child. The thing about Arya’s tryst is that it occurred with Robert Baratheon’s (Mark Addy) lovechild.

Christopher Williams, English, History and Game of Thrones tutor (yep, that’s a thing) for Varsity Tutors, chatted all things GoT today with PureWow and pointed out something that left us downright giddy.

Williams explained there’s a possibility Arya is pregnant, but that’s not all. “She slept with Robert Baratheon’s bastard child. So, she could be carrying a legitimate heir to the throne. But, I think it’s too soon for anything more on that.”

Sure, it’s a bit soon to transfer our royal baby mania to Game of Thrones, but the idea of an Arya/Gendry baby is an exciting one to say the least. Hey, we’re down for anything that’ll de-throne Cersei and bring peace to Westeros.

Could Sansa & Tyrion Be, Like, a *Thing* on ‘Game of Thrones’ Now?
