It seems that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship is getting stronger by the day.
In honor of the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary, we turned to body language expert Darren Stanton (on behalf of Slingo). After analyzing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s latest appearances, he concluded that their relationship is better than ever.
“Similar to Kate and William, Harry and Meghan have grown much more accustomed to public displays of affection, like holding hands or exchanging long glances with one another,” he told PureWow. “The strong eye contact between the pair is a clear indicator that Harry is completely head over heels for Meghan. He is often seen prolonging eye contact with Meghan—a behavior we usually reserve for romantic partners and a tell-tale sign of deep rapport, suggesting Harry is deeply in love.”
Stanton went on to discuss their deliberate interactions, adding, “Both Harry and Meghan are very tactile with one another. When they hold hands, not only are their hands intertwined but their forearms also touch, signifying the deep connection they have. This wasn’t so prevalent in the early days of their relationship as it is now, proving how their relationship has strengthened and evolved over time.”
Stanton also noted that Prince Harry’s confidence has grown since he stepped down as a senior royal. “His love of people has become even more apparent. During the Invictus Games, Harry appeared to be the [happiest],” the expert explained. “It’s clear he loves to be part of a team and immerse himself in the crowd. He definitely has a number of his mother Diana’s traits, such as deep empathy for those who have dealt with misfortunes or those who have achieved greatness through one event or another.”
