Two years after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot in one of the greatest royal weddings in history, we’re learning intimate details about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s nuptials, thanks to a new book.

Called Finding Freedom: Harry and Meghan and the Making of a Modern Royal Familythe biography features never-before-heard stories about the royal couple, including details about their wedding day.

Per the biography, written by royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, the duke and duchess chose Wilson Pickett’s 1968 hit “I’m in Love” for their first dance as husband and wife. And, according to People, there was a lot of ’60s soul music played throughout the day, including The Temptations’ “My Girl” and a selection of Stevie Wonder hits. Not to mention, Karen Gibson and The Kingdom Choir performed "Stand By Me” during the couple’s wedding ceremony at St. George’s Chapel.

But it wasn’t all love songs and R&B. We previously reported that Idris Elba (yes the actor) was the DJ during part of the couple’s intimate reception, where he played a lot of electronic music and pop songs.

“So Harry and I have hung out a couple of times through his dad’s charity—The Prince’s Trust—which really helped me out as a young actor,” Elba told Ellen DeGeneres in a 2019 interview. “So I do a lot of work with them. I met Harry and William a few times, and Harry came to a couple of parties that I DJed, and he was like, ‘Hey, man, what are you doing on [May 19]? Would you DJ at my wedding?’”

Sixties soul, ’90s R&B and electronic house music? Sounds like quite the setlist.
