Queen Elizabeth Has Festive Plans for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s One-Year Wedding Anniversary

Hard to believe it was only a year ago—May 19, 2018 to be exact—that Meghan Markle walked down the aisle at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle to wed her beloved Prince Harry. (They’ve since moved to Frogmore Cottage! Had a baby! The works!)

Well, as it turns out, Queen Elizabeth is about to experience a case of royal déjà vu on the eve of their first wedding anniversary: She’ll actually be attending another royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

This time, the bride-to-be is Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of Queen Eliz’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent. (She’s also 52nd in line to the throne.) Gabriella is set to wed Thomas Kingston on May 18, 2019 and—get this—she even plans to have her reception at Frogmore House a la Harry and Meghan.

While the queen chose to miss the wedding of Gabriella’s brother, Lord Freddie Windsor, she’s all in for Gabriella’s nuptials. The main reason? It’s being hosted on one of her estates. (Think about it: She simply has to throw on a candy-colored ensemble and stroll over. So easy.)

Now, the question on everyone’s minds: Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (and their newborn royal baby) be in attendance? Given that Baby Sussex won’t even be two weeks old at that point, our guess is no. But (royal) time will tell.
