We Are All Entering a New Era This Fall. Here's Yours Based on Your Zodiac Sign

Have you felt the vibe shift? This summer’s astrology has packed quite a punch but there’s one influence in particular that will define a new era! On July 17th, the lunar nodes (also known as the North Node and South Node) switched signs for the first time since January 2022!

When the lunar nodes align with the sun and moon, we have eclipses which bring on major beginnings and endings. So as the nodes switch from fixed signs (Taurus and Scorpio) to cardinal signs (Aries and Libra), life’s big changes come at a much faster pace. The South Node in Libra finds us fed up with being too polite while the North Node in Aries has us making bold choices, hungry for independence and autonomy. Things are about to get a lot louder, and relationships that just aren’t working are sure to fade. But what does this mean on a personal level? The first solar eclipse in Aries happened back on April 20th, giving us clues about what’s to come. But on October 14th, we have our first solar eclipse in Libra fully launching us into this new era. Here’s what’s ahead for each zodiac sign.

For fixed signs, the nodes shifting from Taurus and Scorpio to Aries and Libra is a cause for celebration. With eclipses no longer happening in angular houses and bringing chaos and drama to the most important parts of life (self, family, relationships and career), fixies get to take a step back and enjoy being a side character for a bit.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

After a year and a half with all eyes on you, your new era is all about spiritual seeking and opening your mind. It’s time to take a step back and work on things behind the scenes. It’s important for you to simplify your schedule whether that’s getting one steady day job, committing to a fitness routine or just generally reducing your responsibilities. What you’re getting into might be “unexplainable,” but it’s definitely meant to change your life!

Scorpio (Oct 22 – Nov 21)

After a year and a half of major changes in your image and relationships, your new era is about finding more freedom in your work and daily routines. Let’s be real: you’re exhausted, so this is going to be your health era! Work on quieting your mind and releasing all those questions of “what if…”? There are many ways to fill your days. Explore them all!

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

The last year and a half brought major beginnings and endings to both your career and family life, but now it’s time to learn something new. This is an era where you might be less involved with your local community as you give more attention to travel, education and spiritual pursuits. It’s your Out of Office era, but just because you’re silent on the group chat doesn’t mean you don’t have a ton to share. You’ll be back eventually with so much to teach your close friends and community.

Aquarius (Jan 20 – Feb 18)

The last year and a half brought major shifts in both your career and home life and now you’re finally feeling ready to settle down. This is your cute little walks era as you put a lot of your time, energy and focus into building friendships and connections locally. You’re also trying new hobbies, committing to new routines and learning new skills. By the end of 2024, you’ll be an integral part of the neighborhood. Get out there and circulate!

For mutables, the shift of the nodes from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra brings clarity and energy. The big changes in your life over the past year and a half were more subtle, and you might have been feeling a little bit left out of the drama. Geminis and Sagittarians especially were feeling very existential. Now it’s time to get back your momentum and build something!

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

While the last year and a half found you in your “Do Not Disturb” era, you’re now ready for an era of community building! No matter where you are in your career or public life, this is your time to make friends and influence people. If you’re an artist, this is also a time for finding your true audience and gaining new fans. Though it might feel like your creative or romantic life is more limited, trust that focusing on a few specific ideas or loves now will bring major boons in the future.

Virgo (Aug 23 – Sept 22)

This vibe shift is a huge relief for you, Virgo, because since January 2022, you’ve felt like your social world was shrinking. You’re now in an era of focusing on your finances: how can you earn more while doing less? That’s the name of the game for the next year and a half. You’ll also want to focus on cleaning out your closet and paring down your possessions. Less is more!

Sagittarius (Nov 22 – Dec 21)

You’re leaving your constantly working era and entering your fun era. For the next year and a half, your focus is opening yourself up to new experiences in romance, creativity and pleasure. You’re connecting with your inner child in a new way and choosing to do things that you want to do, not what everyone else says you should do.

Pisces (Feb 19 – March 20)

After the last year and a half of working nonstop, building new connections and learning new skills, you’re ready to claim wealth and abundance. You’re entering an era of putting your own needs first and taking back what’s yours. You might have to release some painful relationships along the way, but it’ll be worth it for the glow up. This is your era of self-confidence.

The Cardinal signs are about to enter their main character era! The Taurus-Scorpio eclipse period brought a lot of momentum and change for the cardinals, but with the nodes now in Aries and Libra, it’s time for shakeups and climaxes in the most important parts of life: self, relationships, home and career.

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

You’re now the main character or the zodiac, Aries. The solar eclipse on April 20th set the tone for your makeover era which will see you embracing many new modes of self-expression. Coming into one’s own means leaving stale relationship dynamics behind, and you’ll also be getting pickier about who you spend your time with. If they’re not about the glow up, it’s time for them to go.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

You’re now entering your famous era. This is when dreams come true as well as when roads less traveled are explored. If you’ve been trying to break into a new industry, you finally get the momentum you need to make those changes. What’s also important is getting very specific about your home life: a plant needs roots in order to blossom.

Libra (Sept 23 – Oct 21)

This new era for you Libra is all about self and relationships. After a year and a half of tumultuous finances, you understand how to make the most of very few resources. But that doesn’t mean you should be frugal when it comes to love! In the months to come, you’ll be exploring so many different kinds of relationships and connections, and through that process will be discovering so much about how to define yourself.

Capricorn (Dec 22 – Jan 19)

This new era is a homecoming for you, Capricorn. You’re settling into a long-term professional role as your career and public life gets simplified, which is leaving you much more time for your home and family. This is your moment to explore living in a new city, starting a family or doing a major home renovation. By the end of 2024, you’ll not only have your own private world, but you’ll know exactly who is on the guest list.
