This week introduces fate-like tones into life that will persist through much of the next month. The key moments of action are condensed into two days: Sunday the 26th, and Wednesday the 29th. Many of the things that happen on these days have long lasting implications, therefore representing specific pivots or seed moments for the rest of the summer, the next year and even the next year and a half.
When we’re trying to understand cosmic events of this caliber, we can’t download the whole story at once. We still have to read the book one page at a time and live our lives one day at a time. The map is not the journey; it’s only the map. Here’s how the landscape changes:
On Sunday, Saturn stations retrograde in Aries. This is a big moment not because of the retrograde motion, but because of the pause. This is the moment that forceful Saturn pauses to take a breath, hammer home the point or make a stand during its time in the sign of Aries. It’s been working relentlessly there since its entrance into the sign in February, but it’s time to consolidate wins, understand what it all means and take a break from the relentless pace. Saturn will be retrograde until December 10, 2026.
Also on Sunday, the nodal axis shifts from Virgo and Pisces to Leo and Aquarius. The nodes spend eighteen months in a pair of signs, so this shift also shifts us into a new mini era. The south node exfoliates while the north node slathers. We crave newness and more experiences in the north node, and we seek to shed old, worn out stories in the south. The north node in Aquarius wants innovative ways of doing things, out of the box thinking and it isn’t afraid to try out new things. The south node meanwhile travels through Leo for the next 18 months, meaning we’ll be less enamored with the glamorous and trendy if it seems insincere.
