This week introduces fate-like tones into life that will persist through much of the next month. The key moments of action are condensed into two days: Sunday the 26th, and Wednesday the 29th. Many of the things that happen on these days have long lasting implications, therefore representing specific pivots or seed moments for the rest of the summer, the next year and even the next year and a half.

When we’re trying to understand cosmic events of this caliber, we can’t download the whole story at once. We still have to read the book one page at a time and live our lives one day at a time. The map is not the journey; it’s only the map. Here’s how the landscape changes:

On Sunday, Saturn stations retrograde in Aries. This is a big moment not because of the retrograde motion, but because of the pause. This is the moment that forceful Saturn pauses to take a breath, hammer home the point or make a stand during its time in the sign of Aries. It’s been working relentlessly there since its entrance into the sign in February, but it’s time to consolidate wins, understand what it all means and take a break from the relentless pace. Saturn will be retrograde until December 10, 2026.

Also on Sunday, the nodal axis shifts from Virgo and Pisces to Leo and Aquarius. The nodes spend eighteen months in a pair of signs, so this shift also shifts us into a new mini era. The south node exfoliates while the north node slathers. We crave newness and more experiences in the north node, and we seek to shed old, worn out stories in the south. The north node in Aquarius wants innovative ways of doing things, out of the box thinking and it isn’t afraid to try out new things. The south node meanwhile travels through Leo for the next 18 months, meaning we’ll be less enamored with the glamorous and trendy if it seems insincere.

The nodal shift is more significant because we are nearing this summer’s eclipse season. Eclipses work like trigger moments for sudden beginnings and endings of fate-like nodal stories. You can read about August’s upcoming eclipses in the August monthly horoscopes.

Finally, all of Sunday builds towards an existential showdown between the sun and Pluto. This is a moment where you might question everything. It’s like standing by the ocean or looking up at the stars. It changes us by considering how small we might be in a world so vast. But also, in those moments is proof of our vastness. After all, all of our atoms were made from stars.

After that beginning, the week doesn’t calm down. We build in tension towards a very loud Aquarius full moon on Wednesday. And it happens very near Pluto. The full moon is already the emotional peak of the month, but when combined with Pluto, it gets triggered. When we’re triggered, it is very hard to know exactly how big of a deal something is—it either feels extremely significant or we’re stunned in emotional numbness and gloss over our feelings. The drama is high and the emotions might surprise you.

Not helping anything is Venus and Mars coming into conflict on the very same day. These two planets are the lovers in the sky, but today they’re not feeling the love. This is one of the tensest aspects of July, and with the full moon as backdrop, the potential for conflict in relationships is high.

As if that weren’t enough, Wednesday is also the annual meetup between the sun and Jupiter. The sun is Jupiter’s host in Leo, and together they make plans for Jupiter’s time there. It’s bound to be a big year for wherever Leo is in your chart, and this grand reception seals the promise for that area of life’s transformation.

This weekend, an emotional Pisces moon tries to process everything that’s happened. Be tender with yourself and withdraw from things that feel overwhelming.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

Saturn stations retrograde in your sign on Sunday, effectively putting your engine into park. Stop for a minute to reflect on how much growth you’ve accomplished so far, and evaluate where it’s gotten you. Your need to express yourself is challenging the expectations people have of you, and it’s likely to hit a few tough moments. Hit the gym instead of the wall.

This week’s mantra: “tension”

Cheeky illustration of a young non-binary person petting a bull.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

Things get a lot more intense for you this week, Taurus. The nodes shift into your houses of career and home, bringing into stark relief both your ambitions and your foundation. Suddenly, your work and your location feel very interrelated. The full moon turns the volume all the way up in this tension. You’ve been told your whole life the world works one way, and yet you have an inner knowing you can do things completely differently.

This week’s mantra: “ambitious homebody”

Cheeky illustration of identical twins with long dark hair and a statement earrings back-to-back, smirking at each other.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

The week is all about how you practice what you preach. How are you living out your beliefs, building toward your goals and handling the small details while keeping an eye on the big picture? When Mars in your sign challenges Venus in your home sector, you may lose the forest to nitpick the trees.

This week’s mantra: “exemplary”

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

With Saturn’s station on Sunday, work finally calms a little. You’ve climbed many of the mountains of 2026 in the career sector, so even though you have to keep going, it’s less of an uphill battle. The focus now shifts to your financial life. A full moon in the area of your partner’s finances highlights both the gifts and challenges of sharing resources. A conversation about fairness and budgeting is a proactive step into the complicated waters of eclipse season.

This week’s mantra: “compensate”

Cheeky illustration of a woman of Asian-descent wearing a sheer coral top with her hair half-up in pigtail puns, the rest down. She is hugging a lion, who is smirking.

Leo (July 23 - August 22)

Oh Leo, your time is here. Leo season has so much horsepower this year, and a swelling full moon in your relationship house brings tension this week. You're caught between needing to step out and be seen and the fear of being misunderstood in all your good intentions. Your finances are strained as well as you push forward towards a brighter horizon. For people to support you they need to see you. What beliefs about yourself are holding you back?

This week’s mantra: “molt”

Cheeky illustration with a light blue background of a woman wearing a coral shirt coyly poking out from behind her hands.

Virgo (August 23 - September 23)

Anything you’ve been avoiding dealing with on a psychological level may come out as a physical symptom this week as your axis of health—both mental and physical—gets activated by shifting nodes and the full moon. The mind body connection is more linked than ever, so it’s a good time to remember you are not a machine. What’s being demanded might be more than you can offer and your body will set boundaries even if you try to push through.

This week’s mantra: “scale back”

Libra (September 23 - October 21)

Relationships get decided as Saturn stations retrograde. You’ve made a lot of changes in how you approach and relate to people, and it’s time for things to settle down for a bit. The focus changes to tensions between the present and the future, what you do in the here and now versus your hopes and dreams for where you’re going. When Venus, your ruler, squares Mars during the full moon, old fears limit your pace forward.

This week’s mantra: “diplomat”

680x400 Scorpio%402x

Scorpio (October 22 - November 21)

There’s a plan (or at least enough information to make a plan) as Saturn goes retrograde in the sector of your physical health. Ailments you’ve been trying to manage are getting managed for the next four months and no more surprises are likely in that department. No, the core area of transformation switches to home and work, and sudden shifts to career and location are likely over the next six weeks. You’re making the best of it, but you can still be annoyed.

This week’s mantra: “make do”

Cheeky illustration of a Black woman with purple hair on an orange background. She's in a wearing jean jacket, with a quiver strapped across her back and arrows sticking out.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

Saturn declares a ceasefire in your creativity house, and the retrograde until your season means there’s a little breathing room. A swelling full moon in your third house of communication pulls you into the fray of the every day. You’re dreaming big dreams, but are you taking the small steps towards them? Don’t get caught up on other people. What do you need to do to move forward?

This week’s mantra: “keep going”

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

Saturn, your ruling planet, stations retrograde on Sunday, helping you pivot from breaking new ground to consolidating wins for the rest of the year. Your focus becomes almost entirely financial for the next six weeks as both Pluto and the full moon highlight your earning power while the Sun and Jupiter investigate financial dependency on loans or partners. The North Node creates an intense drive for financial independence, but the story of its achievement has a couple years to unfold.

This week’s mantra: “account”

Cheeky image of a Black woman with blue hair on a light blue background. She's holding blue water in her palms, which is bubbling up and taking shape as her hair.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

Your schedule and daily rhythms have been churning and reorganizing, but now it’s time to settle into a routine and plug along without trying to reinvent everything. The focus is now shifting to your identity and your relationships. A full moon in your sign reminds you to check in and see where you’re abandoning your truth for other’s expectations.

This week’s mantra: “mirroring”

Cheeky illustration of a gender-fluid white person with short-cropped orange hair. They're wearing a light blue halter top as two bright pink koi fish circle their head.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

Saturn, the planet of restriction, parks itself in your financial house providing a much needed reality check. Your physical and mental health are the big story of the next month or so, and a big full moon lights up what you’ve been avoiding. There may be secrets that come out as you face the physical realities of what you’ve been up to. Venus in your relationship house confronts any buried anger that’s holding you down.

This week’s mantra: “don’t look down”
