The first week of August is quiet in the foreground, but do not be fooled. It’s the calm before the storm, the quiet in the theater before the lights go up and the show begins. It’s time to find your seats as eclipse season enters its prelude.
That said, it’s not entirely crickets and it’s not bad either. The moon begins the week in Aries, moves into grounded Taurus on Wednesday, and sets off the weekend in chatty Gemini. It’s in the final quarter and waning down towards next week’s new moon solar eclipse.
Chiron stations retrograde on Monday, August 3rd. Chiron is perched on the doorstep of Taurus, offering the pilot episode to the seven-year long stint there. It brings both the wounding and the medicine of and for the natural world. Chiron will retrograde back into Aries for some closing remarks on September 17.
The saxophones get louder midweek as Wednesday the 5th marks one week out from our first eclipse. You may start to feel areas of life ripe for change. This often manifests as the feeling of hitting a wall in some area. Something has to give, and it will.
