‘Love Gets Messy’ in the New Trailer for ‘Sex Education’ Season 2

We’re going back to Moordale High! Netflix just released the first trailer for Sex Education season two and it looks like things are getting quite complicated for Otis (Asa Butterfield).

In the new clip, we see Otis juggling a new relationship with Ola (Patricia Allison), while his mother Jean (Gillian Anderson) is having a relationship with Ola’s father. Ummawkward. Otis is also trying to navigate his way around a now-strained relationship with Maeve (Emma Mackey).

The trailer also introduces a few new characters, including a handsome French student who catches the attention of Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa). Oh, and did we mention there's a Chlamydia outbreak?

If you didn’t know, Sex Education centers around Otis and his sex-therapist mom, Jean, who navigate their awkward mother-son relationship during Otis’s formative high school years.

Anderson, Butterfield, Mackey, Allison and Gatwa, plus the original cast of Aimee Lou Wood (Aimee), Connor Swindells (Adam), Kedar Williams-Stirling (Jackson) and Tanya Reynolds (Lily) are all reprising their roles.

The tagline for the second season is “Life is hard. Love is messy. Messy is normal.” Seems about right.

Sex Education season two will consist of eight episodes and premieres on Netflix January 17.
