Royal Tour Alert: Prince Charles & Camilla Parker Bowles Kick Off First Major Tour Since Start of the Pandemic

It’s official: Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, just arrived in Northern Ireland for their first royal tour since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Today, the couple had a full itinerary of engagements in Belfast. They even documented the entire trip on their official Twitter account by sharing photos and videos from each of their pitstops.

The caption read, “The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall have arrived in Northern Ireland! Their Royal Highnesses are visiting to thank individuals who have gone the extra mile during the pandemic.”

Prince Charles and Bowles kicked things off by visiting the Ulster Museum, where they explored the Florence Nightingale exhibit. The Prince of Wales also thanked a group of recent graduates, who completed their courses early, so they could assist frontline workers.

Shortly after, Prince Charles stopped by the Henderson Foods distribution center, where he applauded the staff for meeting unprecedented demands during the pandemic.

The Duchess of Cornwall also paid tribute to the Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid Head Office, a charity that provides immediate support for women and children affected by domestic violence.

At one point, Bowles even held her own umbrella when the weather took a turn for the worse.

During the visit, the duchess wore a long green coat over a polka dot dress, which features a tie around the neck. She accessorized the look with leather gloves, knee-high boots and a clover brooch in honor of the host country.

Oh, how we’ve missed this.
