The Duchess of Cornwall Just Wore Another Caftan, and It Might Be Her Best One Yet
Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles have been on their Caribbean tour for only three days now but already the Duchess is making us want to replace our entire summer wardrobe with nothing but flowing caftans and breezy trousers. She's pretty much perfected the art of looking simultaneously wonderfully chic and supremely comfy (seriously, just look at her dreamy Saint Patrick's Day look) and her latest ensemble is no exception.
Between the subtly shimmering white fabric, the teardrop appliqué and those drop-dead gorgeous Van Cleef & Arpels earrings, we can't decide which part of her look we love best.
Parker Bowles wore the chic look to a reception at the Barbados prime minister’s residence, where she and Prince Charles (in a perfectly nice but not nearly as interesting tailored blue suit) enjoyed dinner with a host of Barbadians “from all walks of life,” as a tweet from Clarence House announced. They were also joined by musicians Tom Jones and Lionel Richie (what we would have given to be a fly on that wall).
The royal duo will continue traveling around the Caribbean, with St. Vincent and the Grenadines up next, through the end of March, so it’s highly likely we’ve only just seen the beginning of the duchess’s parade of enviable caftans. Meghan and Kate may have cornered the market on must-have coats, but when it comes to vacation style, Camilla is our new go-to gal.
