Members of the royal family understand all too well that their positions require a lot of traveling. This past week, Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles journeyed to Jordan and Egypt as a part of their Autumn Tour, and the Duchess of Cornwall talked about the excitement of the trip, but also how traveling affects her and Prince Charles now that they're getting older.
In a report from Sky News, we learned that on the way back to the U.K., the duchess said, “It was quite tough, we were driving a lot and it was pretty bumpy.” But Bowles quickly put the situation into perspective, adding, “But afterwards I think...I'm a lot older now, well into my 70s. But to quote Richard Ingram, ‘We've still got a snap in our celery.’”
Even though traveling may not be as easy for the couple these days, it appears they still had a great time while on their trip. Upon leaving Egypt, a video was shared to the Clarence House Instagram account that highlighted moments from the tour. The caption said, “A fabulous couple of days in Egypt - we hope to see you again soon!”
