Surprise: Camilla Parker Bowles Knows What CBD Is & She Thinks It’s ‘Fantastic’

CBD seems to be all the rage stateside—everything from smoothies to bath bombs are infused with the cannabis-derived extract. But Americans aren’t the only ones intrigued by CBD. In fact, even Camilla Parker Bowles recently spoke out about its benefits. (Yeah, you read that right).

It all started when the 72-year-old Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Charles popped into the Swiss Cottage Farmers’ Market in North London yesterday to celebrate the 20th anniversary of London Farmers’ Markets.

There, they sampled cheeses, cakes and caviar and were regaled with gifts of eggs. But it was Camilla’s comments about CBD that we found to be most interesting. The Duchess of Cornwall stopped by the Hempen stall and chatted with worker Sophia Lysaczenko about the benefits of the compound.

Parker Bowles asked how it’s made and said, “This oil is so fantastic. It helps so many people. I’ve spoken to people who have serious conditions such as epilepsy that have benefited from it.” Look at Camilla! She’s all up on that natural self-care game.

Although Parker Bowles didn’t try CBD out in the open, she did have a nibble of bread topped with hemp oil, which she called “Wonderful.”

Later, Lysaczenko told The Daily Mail that the Duchess of Cornwall “knew instantly what hemp was and was very knowledgeable about it. She seemed very on board…It was encouraging to hear.”

In case your unfamiliar with CBD, or cannabidiol, it’s a non-psychoactive (aka it won’t get you high) derivative of the cannabis plant and people say it can reduce pain, inflammation and anxiety.

Perhaps Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will start growing it on their organic farm, the Duchy Home Farm at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire, England. Camilla is knowledgeable about it…
