Halloween is more lowkey a holiday than, say, Thanksgiving or Christmas. But between decorations, costumes, candy and festive recipes, costs can rack up quickly. Luckily, there are tons of deals and specials to cash in on at a wide range of chain restaurants and fast food joints this October for a limited time. That way, you can feel a little better about the rest of your festive expenses. (That’s Girl Math for ya.)

Read on for 19 tasty bargains, curated by a food editor. Options include free kids’ meals, BOGO entrées and discounted doughnuts—and that’s just for starters.

The 8 Best Fast Food Spicy Chicken Sandwiches, Tasted & Ranked by a Food Editor

1. Burger King

Royal Perks rewards members have daily free items (with a $1 purchase) to claim through October 26, from Chicken Fries to cheeseburgers to Cini Minis. Plus, you can head there on October 31 for a $5 Jack-O-Lantern Whopper with no additional buy necessary. Take it from me—I tasted Burger King’s Halloween menu and the burger took the crown.

2. Applebee’s

Spooky Sips are back at Applebee’s, so head there before November to taste the spirited spirits. Cocktails include the Tipsy Zombie, made with rum, passionfruit, pineapple, cherry and lime and topped with a gummy brain, and the Dracula’s Juice, a mix of rum, tequila, strawberry and sour. For $2 more, you can add a “Vibe Drop” of either melon liqueur or blue Curaçao to your drink.

3. Chipotle

The iconic Boorito is back for its 25th spooky season. On Halloween from 3 p.m. to close, Chipotle rewards members can go in costume and score a $6 entrée offer when they scan their member card at checkout. Better yet, members can also get free sides through Chip-or-Treat all month long, like gratis chips and guac. There’s even a Boorito Costume Contest: From Monday, October 27 to November 2, fans can post their getups to TikTok with the hashtag #BooritoCostumeContest for a chance to win a VIP Card worth more than $500 from Chipotle.

4. Shake Shack

There’s no better time to download this resto’s app than now. All month long, you can collect a free Double ShackBurger with the purchase of another by using the code SPOOKY when you check out in the app. Keep an eye out for discounted fries, shakes and more, also available exclusively on the Shake Shack app.

5. California Pizza Kitchen

I just made the trek to CPK to taste their entire baked mac and cheese menu, but there’s something even tastier on the agenda for my next visit. Through November 2, you can order a CPKids Build-Your-Own or Baked Jack-O’-Lantern Pizza for just $5 for takeout. If you’d rather order in, use the code CPK on deliveries of $40 or more.

6. Auntie Anne’s

The massive bucket is filled to the brim with your choice of pretzel nuggets or pretzel-wrapped mini hot dogs and feeds five. Prices vary by location, but in the White Plains, N.Y. area, the bucket costs between $35 to $40, depending on the nuggets you choose.

7. QDOBA

All day on Halloween, rewards members will receive a free entrée with the purchase of another entrée and drink. And if you’re a Gold Status member, you can redeem the deal through November 2.

8. Outback Steakhouse

With the purchase of any adult entrée, you can order a kids’ meal on the house. Simply ask your server if you’re dining in or use the code SpookyFree for online orders instead.

9. KFC

The chain’s 13 Days of Scary Good Deals promotion has already begun. Through October 31, rewards members can access a new daily offer through the app or website. They range from half-off buckets of fried chicken to free chicken sandwiches.

10. Dunkin’

Take it from me—I tasted the entire Dunkin’ Halloween Menu and it’s equal parts tasty and festive. But more importantly, there are LTO offers for Dunkin’ Rewards Members up for grabs, too. Through October 27, you’ll receive 100 bonus points by ordering ahead on Mondays. And from October 29 to 31, you’ll get triple points on half-dozen and dozen doughnuts, as well as on 25- and 50-count Munchkins.

11. Krispy Kreme

From October 24 to 26, you can treat yourself to a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $2 if you buy any other dozen at regular price (I recommend the LTO Trick or Treat! Collection). Even sweeter, on October 25 and 31, you can score a free Original Glaze or Classic Ring doughnut on the house—no purchase necessary.

12. Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia Cookies is famous for its standard lineup, but there are three seasonal confections I can’t wait to try before they’re gone: Caramel Apple Classic, Brookie Topped with Snickers and Brown Butter Toffee Classic. In addition, you can receive a free classic cookie in store with any purchase from October 30 to November 2, as long as you’re in costume. And from now until November 2, you can also order sweets for a crowd with the Trick or Treat Pack of 50 cookies for $75.

13. SONIC

Take a trip to the drive-thru to scarf down as many 50-cent corn dogs as you can, as they’ll only be available at that price on Halloween. Wash it down with a Trick or Treat Blast, a blend of vanilla or chocolate soft serve studded with HEATH bar pieces, M&M’s Minis and crushed Oreo.

14. Bojangles

Call it Boojangles, because it’s officially Boo Time through October 31. Log in nightly at 10:31 p.m. to reveal a new surprise deal.

15. Paris Baguette

There’s no shortage of seasonal splendor to find at this café chain, ranging from a Vanilla Scream Ghost Cake to a Dirt & Worms King Cream Donut. But most epic of all is that PB Rewards Members can get a free pastry with any beverage, exclusively on Halloween.

16. Smoothie King

There are only so many folks that this will apply to, but I’d be remiss not to mention it. Head to a participating location on Halloween in—wait for it—an avocado costume to receive a free avocado toast. That should keep you full before trick-or-treating begins.

17. Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

If you’re lucky enough to live near a Freddy’s, you should know that you’ll earn double points on any purchase through the rewards app if you visit on Halloween. Might I suggest the new Smoky Bacon Cheddar Stack, available through December 30?

18. Duck Donuts

This doughnut chain brought back its Spooky Dozen, which is available through November 2. Flavors include Dirt & Worms (chocolate icing with Oreo pieces and a gummy worm), Halloween Haunting (vanilla with sprinkles and buttercream), Werewolf (maple icing with chopped bacon and raspberry drizzle) and Graveyard (vanilla icing with Oreo pieces and marshmallow drizzle).

19. BJ’s Restaurants and Brewhouse

This chain restaurant is arguably most famous for its Pizookie dessert. If you’ve never had one, now’s your chance. Through November 5, dine-in guests can try the limited-edition Spooky Pizookie, a Cookies ’N Cream cookie and topped with Oreo crumbs, Halloween sprinkles, vanilla bean ice cream and a crackable chocolate shell.
