Dream Job Alert: There Are People Who Get Paid to Watch Netflix
Twenty20

Listen, you might love your job. You might even think it’s the best job. And while we’re sure you’ve got a great thing going, we can say with just about complete certainty that it’s not truly the best.

That’s because there are people whose job is to watch Netflix. They win.

Juicers,” as they’re known, watch some of Netflix’s 4,000-plus titles and choose the best still images and short video clips to represent said title to help other users figure out what to watch. For their binge-watching efforts, they’re paid $10 per film or show.

But before you get too jealous, know that it’s not all fun and games. Since juicers are technically independent contractors, they aren’t eligible for overtime or health benefits, and as a result, a few of them are suing Netflix.

But legal issues aside, just imagine your day at the office entailing settling into an entire season of 30 Rock, because that sounds like our version of the American dream.
