Expertise
At PureWow, I primarily cover beauty, which entails testing products over a long period of time and doing vigorous research on skincare, haircare, makeup and more. I reach out to a host of experts (i.e., dermatologists, hairstylists) and coordinate with PW editors for recommendations. When I'm not covering beauty, I'm writing for wellness, entertainment, fashion and travel about trends, how-tos and more. I also spearhead PureWow Cultures, which focuses on uplifting and highlighting the BIPOC community.
Experience
I've been in the media space for over ten years. Before joining PureWow, I was a native editorial intern at PS, managing their social content calendar, tracking engagement and learning about branded content. I was also an editorial intern at Mashable, Romper and Latina Magazine, where I assisted with writing pieces, researching for editors and analyzing data.
Education
Aside from receiving a bachelor's degree in journalism from SUNY New Paltz, I also have a master's degree in branding & integrated communication from City College.
