If you’re looking for definitive proof that Valentine’s Day is nothing more than a fabrication by Big Greeting Card, look no further than the date itself. Valentine’s Day occurring in Aquarius season is one of life’s great mysteries. Aquarius. A sign ruled by Saturn and stereotyped as being “aloof,” Aquarius is, at the very least, known as being neither the warmest nor the fuzziest sign. And yet, every February 14, we celebrate in true Venusian fashion with pink dresses and candy hearts.
This year, Valentine’s Day is going to be more Aquarian than ever, with Mars entering Aquarius on the 13th and love planet Venus herself following close behind on the 16th. Both planets also meet up with life-changing Pluto. With idea planet Mercury also squaring changemaker Uranus, this week is more suited to starting a revolution than sitting down to an overpriced steak dinner. As far as gestures of love go, skip the greeting card and rent a hot air balloon instead.
(Horoscopes follow for each sign. If you know your rising sign, reading for that sign too will provide further insight.)
