Joaquin Consuelos just hit a major milestone in his high school career. The youngest child of Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos attended his senior prom this week.
On Tuesday, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host documented the 18-year-old and his date as they posed for before their big night. “Prom Night 2021. Joaquin and Melissa,” she wrote alongside the sweet snap.
In the pic, we see Joaquin smiling and looking dapper in his black tuxedo with his arms around his date. And while we loved the shot of the duo ready to head off to prom, it was the behind-the-scenes photos shared on Ripa’s IG Stories that really caught our attention.
Prior to the photoshoot, the mother of three made sure to document her son’s “pre-prom” routine, which included a ton of help from her hubby, Consuelos. The first photo shows the Riverdale star helping his youngest adjust his tie, while the second features the high schooler swinging on his tuxedo jacket. “Scenes from pre-prom,” she captioned the first image.
Ripa also shared a photo of herself, Consuelos and Joaquin posing for the camera inside of their home. Perhaps our favorite shot featured Melissa pinning a corsage to her date’s lapel.
As People points out, for the occasion, the almost graduate borrowed the tuxedo from his father. In the comments section of a post shared by the 50-year-old actor, Ripa wrote, “In your tux and shoes no less! [heart eye emoji].” How special.
Joaquin is expected to graduate next month and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall to continue his wrestling career. The couple announced the exciting college news back in March.
