Like father, like son

Labor Day weekend marked the unofficial end of summer, which means it’s back to school, back to work and yes, back to our regularly scheduled programming—including Live with Kelly & Mark. Just like Queen Camilla and Kate Middleton returned to royal duties this week, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos kicked off the 38th season of their daytime talk show, easing into fall with some fun stories and vacation highlights.

On Tuesday, September 2, the duo returned to the Live studio and opened the show with their usual banter but this time, Kelly brought receipts: a few family vacation photos featuring their kids, Michael, 28, Lola, 24, and Joaquin, 22.

"I have a few vacation photos that I will bore you with," Kelly joked before launching into a mini slideshow.

There were a few sweet shots, like one of Kelly, 54, Mark, 54, and Lola holding tennis rackets and another of just the mother-daughter duo. But the third photo is what really caught my attention.

In that photo, Kelly is wearing a green swimsuit and black sunglasses, standing next to a shirtless Mark and Joaquin. But the shirtless moment wasn’t what made me do a double take—it was how identical Mark and Joaquin looked side by side. Nearly twin-level identical.

Their features, builds and overall vibe are that similar. Both are standing looking like they just came out of a body of water, soaking in the sun and yes, serving some major father-son genes.

“Our newborn baby is now the largest one,” Kelly laughed while showing the pic to the audience, pointing out just how much Joaquin has grown up. And fans were just as stunned.

"Wow! Your youngest looks so different than when he was at Michigan. So handsome Joaquin is,” one viewer commented.

Looks like Mark’s got a twin in the fam if he ever needs a stand-in.
