In the age of social distancing, Kelly Ripa isn’t afraid to share what’s really happening inside her home. Even when it comes to her gray roots.
Last night, the Live with Kelly and Ryan star, 49, posted a priceless photo on her Instagram Story that will make anyone who dyes their hair say, “Same.” The pic shows Ripa posing in what appears to be a towel, but the main focus is on her perfectly parted hair, which has visible gray roots poking through.
She captioned the post, “Root watch week one.”
Ripa’s photo is in response to the CDC’s recommendation that everyone self isolate and maintain six feet of social distance, in an attempt to stop the spread of coronavirus—in addition to the mandatory closure of salons, barbers and spas in NYC. The talk show host has been self-isolating with her husband, Mark Consuelos but has continued filming her show with Ryan Seacrest, from their respective homes, of course.
While some celebs have responded to the quarantine by hosting free live concerts on social media, others—like Josh Gad—have been reading children’s stories on Twitter. Ripa, on the other hand, is using her free time to establish an official “root watch.”
Desperate times call for desperate (hair) measures.
