Kelly Ripa’s Own Dog Starred in the Special ‘Live’ After-Oscars Event

The 93rd Academy Awards took place over the weekend. And because it was a scaled-down event, some of our favorite celebs didn’t get to walk the red carpet (or even attend), including Kelly Ripa.

However, Live! with Kelly and Ryan held a special After-Oscars Show on Monday morning to honor Hollywood's biggest night. In fact, Ripa and her co-host, Ryan Seacrest, participated in a “love letter” to the world of movies—both past and present—which aired during the installment.

As it turns out, the co-hosting duo weren’t the only ones to star in the movie tribute. One of the All My Children alum’s dogs also made a cameo. During the Wizard of Oz portion of the footage, Ripa portrayed Dorothy, while her pup Lena played Toto.

Ahead of the television event, Ripa’s husband, Mark Consuelos, teased his family’s performance and even shouted out Lena on Instagram. “Can’t wait to check out my fave @kellyripa and Lena tomorrow on the #afteroscar show @livekellyandryan @ryanseacrest,” he captioned a clip.

However, it seems like Lena and Ripa’s other pup, Chewie, were not as fond of the performance. On Monday, the 50-year-old television personality shared a snap on her own IG account, featuring her two pets. “So far they’re unimpressed....... #afteroscar #lena #chewie,” she wrote alongside the snap.

We need more appearances from Lena (and Chewie) on the show, please and thank you.
