The first week of November leans towards resolutions. A boisterous Leo moon greets the first day of daylight savings with intensity, but that extra sleep will feel great after a Halloween night out.
Monday starts the week off with energy and optimism as the moon moves through aspects to both Jupiter and Venus, then settles in for a relaxing evening. Overnight, the moon moves into Virgo, and the week becomes a logic problem to be solved and tasks to be managed.
Wednesday hosts two helpful alignments. The first is a sweet contact between Venus and Jupiter that lightens the mood and lifts the spirit (if we can lean into it). The second is the midpoint of the Mercury retrograde. Mercury comes together with the sun to shine some clarity on the mental tangles and scheduling hangups that characterize the retrograde period. Both Venus and Jupiter and the insights of the sun and Mercury serve to steady us, both mentally and emotionally, offering a sweet little snack to get us through the final week and a half of the retrogrades.
But underneath everything, the stories of Venus and Mercury’s retrogrades bleed into Mars’ discontent. On November 5, Mars enters the preshadow of its own retrograde. Though Mars won't station retrograde until January 10, 2027, it will drop hints throughout this month and next as to the battle that will be waged in the Virgo and Leo sectors of each of our lives.
