By the end of the week, our friend of communication and technology, Mercury, will be starting to move forward again. (Thank goodness!) After over three weeks of confusing timelines, misunderstood conversations and, likely, some misplaced keys, things should simplify when Mercury appears to stop in the sky and switch course back to direct motion. This event happens on Thursday the 23rd, but there’s lots of other astrology that comes before it, and one sweet moment that follows.
On Sunday the 19th, Mars comes into pleasant contact with Saturn. While the fiery planet and the grumpy one are unlikely to create an atmosphere of pleasantness, they can be extremely effective at lighting a fire under our derrieres to make stuff happen. After last week’s emotional new moon, this is the motivation we need to get to back to business.
Monday and Tuesday host a trio of Jupiterian engagements with the outer planets (Neptune, Uranus and Pluto), bringing our attention to current events and cultural forces at play in the wider world. Jupiter illuminates and expands whatever it encounters, so we may get caught up in a provocative news cycle. How this will affect us individually is due largely to the sectors of your life that Jupiter governs.
On Wednesday the 22nd, the sun departs nautical Cancer for the stage of Leo. The sun is especially powerful in Leo, and this year it is joined by Jupiter. Leo season will be louder than usual, the performances gaudier, the charisma absolutely melting. Happy solar return to all those with the sun in Leo.
